Seems the VW part is worth the extra money. When I went to schofields they said they have had loads of issues with the Klokkerholm version. Good luck mate.
If I didn't already have an ordinary bumper and I'd had to replace the deformation panel like you have I'd go for a Brazilian bumper as I think the early bumpers look much better.
