My son called tonight , hes only just bought himself a new van for work :-, sods law ,driving home a deer jumped out infront of him.He did try and avoid it ( which is normal reaction by most? not something that you should attempt really though) lucky nothing was coming other way it could have been worse but he just clipped it . Deer was nowhere to be seen to give its insurance particulars etc poor deer, but its now going to cost him Deer for new headlight ,bumper, n dented bonnet etc.NCD is worth so much at his age ,hes just gona have ta pay. Luckily my nephew ,his cousin is in crash repair ,spray game so not quite so much but bit of a stinker as hes self employed and christmas so near. SO beware everyone its a just after the rut but dusk and dawn is when they are on the move ,just when they are least viz able. So hes getting a bumper for chrimbo from dad :. This is a public service anouncement on behalf of dads wallets ! No eye deer why they dont look before crossing ???
was he wearing his high viz waiscoat and leggins , a mate of mine hit a deer once the damage was so bad nobody beilieved him
Deary me, same thing happened to a mate but he managed to avoid it completely and was too chicken to attempt the theory that if you accelerate and hit it at speed you have less chance of it coming through the windscreen as long as it gets enough air coming off your bonnet it should go over the roof, not sure if that would work in a van & don't think I could bring myself to do it!
It be driverable if the light is fixed then he can save up and get the rest done later so put your wallet back. ;D
