Dead fish

  1. so doing a bit of fossil hunting on Charmouth beach this morning and there were 100s of thousands of small
    White bait size fish dead on the beach ... I mean so many all the way up the beach ...any idea what would cause this ?

    Heavy rain effects oxygen quality.

    We have seen them at Charmouth and Burton Bradstock over the last few weeks.

  6. They do tend to come right in to the shore line this time of year ,thats why its easier to catch mackerel this time of year off the beach too, as they are chasing them , a big wave will land them on the shore ,high and dry so to speek.

  8. Loads of Mackerel to be caught off Lyme Regis at the moment.

    EU quoters prevent the landing of undersized fish so the fishermen hypothesis them to swim ashore where they pick them up later.
