Day Trip in the North West

We have some visitors coming up this weekend and they would like to experience a day trip out in the van. Does anyone have any good places we could visit for a day trip which would include a picnic and somewhere to walk the dogs?

Nice one @Lord Congi . Haven't been out in the van much this year so a one night camp at Capesthorn Hall in a couple of weeks will do nicely

We camped there last week - dogs loved the sand dunes and beach

 

Delamere forest great for picnics ,walking and ice cream

 

Thanks some good suggestions will see which one they like. On the plus side we now have a few more ideas for days out and @Lord Congi didn't know about Capesthorn Hall the camp site looks good.

lanercost is a pretty nice place, and just down the road from me

 

Cheshire, near Jodrell Bank..
