DATH Dubs @ the hall

Discussion in 'Shows Events You've Missed unless you went' started by oxiderenegade, Jun 9, 2014.

  1. Searched for a thread but only found mine from last year. Anyone going, fancy meeting up for a beverage the Saturday night? We are mostly just doing day passes at shows this year but we love this one! We will be in family camping, look for the red oxide bus ( 'if it's blooming working) :)

  2. So here's the High lights and low lights of the show starting with low - much of this is not the fault of the organisers who work blooming hard

Nearly knocked myself unconscious on Ollie and was left with scraps bumps and bruises ...then we broke down.....when We got there we noticed a difference in atmosphere straight away.....so here we go
In the main ring you would not have known it was a Dub fest at all , most strange, a few craft and food stalls, nothing dub
There is only shows on the Sunday
Family field was not well policed this year leading to people playing loud drum and base till after 2 in the morning
Not many auto jumble stalls at all
The whole place had been rearranged , which we knew and had to be done however with the main ring where it is now made it hard for the wheelchair at the entrance.
Being taken over by some ravers who would not know what a dub was from a Bedford, messy loud, rude ( nuff said)
The littering by people was horrendous
Not enough room for show and shine
Nowhere to buy milk, baca etc....

    High lights
Apart from the crowd mentioned above genuine , nice , friendly folk with a love of Dubs
    Great selection of music
    Brilliant and beautiful venue
Even the toilets were not that bad
Good selection of food stalls and coffee stops ( well my favourite Malaysian was there)
lil dubbers offers lots for wee ones
    Free climbing wall
    Brilliant circus acts
Good clean up everyday (above litter)
    Some beauty's of Dubs
    Birds of prey

If you are after a mini festival this is what is has become, it's different in the way most people attend in Dubs , needs more Dub impute , parts, curtains, things for the dub , camping stuff, Dub crafts and a different central show everyday etc.......

Despite this would go again :)

  3. Totally agree with @Row comments. It's the first time we've been to DATH and it won't be on our list for next year. We've were in the Family Area and the late night noise was ridiculous. I too had the pleasure??? of listening to Drum and Base until the early hours of Sunday morning . The 'crowd' this show attracted and atmosphere generated wasn't what we've experienced at other shows. For me, this detracted from the hard work the organisers had obviously put in. On the plus side, I thought the music line-up was excellent and food stalls were good with reasonable prices.

  4. Some @StevieJD camp at breck farm then drive up. It's such a shame Jason and his team work so blooming hard. I love this show and it is still my favourite , whereabouts in the family field were you ? The drum and vase came from two T4's behind us , nice chaos shane about the music ....

  5. We arrived around 5pm on Friday so about 3 rows in from the entrance and 6 pitches up. Near to a bright green T5 and a green Bay with colour coded Eriba Puck.
