Hi, my 73 bay window has a very tired dashboard and it is in some desperate need of tlc. Either respraying it white or putting it back to the original black colour. Does anyone know how easy this is to do yourself, or the cost to get someone else to do it. and does the whole lot need to come out to do?
i did mine in situ, it was extra rank and white hand painted - i flatted it and sprayed it with black gloss from halfords, it did take quite a bit of rubbing down and masking up was tedious but --
Much easier to remove the whole dash. You don't need to disconnect any wiring, just undo the switches and instrumant panel and push them through their holes. It probably takes no more time than masking everything up.
I took mine out and sanded it down , primed and painted it satin black don't paint is gloss the sun will bounce of it into your eyes well if you go to another country with it not England lol Easy to remove as zed said
