Evening all, Can anyone tell me if the speedo and fuel gauge etc should be lit up when headlights are on? Also, when the indicators are on, both green lights flash when indicating in either direction? Is this a fault or a "quirk"? Finally, the cigarette lighter - is the positive connector in the centre of the connections at the back or the one thats more offset to the side? Rusty Lee bed assembled and put place today.....interior layout planning continues.... Thanks all in advance Dan
Both indicator lights should flash when either indicator is on. Dash back lights.should come on with the headlights. Try turning your headlamp control knob. It should work as a dimmer.
rather than start another thread - the headlight indicator nest to the indicator light - should that be on when the headlights are on or only on full beam. Never noticed it never being on before - headlights, dipped and full, all work so assume there a loose connection somewhere
Don't want to be stupid here but I had all my lights working and no lights on the dash, then realised somewhere along the line I'd twisted the knob on the light switch. It may be that you've turned the knob, as it's dimmable mate? Edit.. Just seen Beavers mentioned it already sorry
My indicators both flash with lights off, side lights, main lights and full beam. Just wanted to know if both should flash or if just the one you are indicating in the direction of? I just realised that I also get the green "headlights on" light on the dash when on side lights but it goes off when you go to main lights?
Ok, thanks to a bit of WD40 and some "gentle persuasion" the once none dimming dash lights now come on. Seems like 40 odd years of ignorance has resulted in the knob only pulling in and out. Didn't even know I had a dimmer as it didn't twist lol. Green "head lights on" light still goes off when I go from side to main?
backlights might not come on until you have turned headlight knob right round as far as it goes , mine doesnt dim now
I think on most uk vans both flash at the same time there might be a few, maybe US ones, that flash independently.
