Dash top over the dash or behind

Hi please could someone tell me if the dash top goes over the top of the dash or behind it I think over but can't remember

 

I put mine on last week and it fitted better over the top (i forgot which way it was originally too)

 

Hasn't the top got a curved bit that sits over the padded roll, don't think it'd be deep enough if the front was sandwiched between, so top over the top I reckon!
