I replied on the first page and quite happy to post to finland

  3. What material is it ?
How do file or sand a round hole true ?

The gouges won’t throw the housing out of true, the welding probably will, use a round file ;)

  5. They are cast .....I had to weld the shock mount on after an incident with a drain cover sheared it off ...

I bought a pair of hubs cheap when I did my disc conversion .. not expensive

Is it me being uncharitable here but the question has been asked, and replied to.
The OP has already tried to buy a new one but didn't because of postage problems.

DAVIDOFT has offered sound advice and a solution (admittedly I don't know at what financial cost but it won't be a rip off) .
Why be doubtful about a repair when at reasonable cost you have a solution .

Personally I would use the old one but having had the advise given here I wouldn't risk the money spent on a new bearing being wasted on a potentialy damaging housing.

Mind you, its quite easy to make a mess of perfectly good bearings in perfectly good hub carriers by misaligning the roller bearing race on replacement.
I wrote my "how to" on this site after replacing three roller bearings. My first effort lasted about 40 miles where I fitted a Heritage kit. The second one was Heritage the other side and the third one was GSF. The two survivors have done at least 20k miles since.

I’ve had bearing fitting training and designed bearing housings and watched lots of people do it the wrong way, worked on big machines where the cost of the bearings would make a grown man cry, I’ve bought cheap gsf bearings for my wife’s mk 3 golf failed within days of each other 3 years on, but at £4 each I didn’t mind :D
