I thought they could be for injecting cavity wax but surely the wax would melt due to the heat from the engine?

 

Na, if that were the case your paint would melt too.

 

Where can you get bungs for them? I have one missing and as far as I can see, the usual suspects only sell the larger bungs.

I buy mine from Waitrose. Quite expensive at £4.50 each, but they do come seasoned with organic paprika.

 

Closed rubber grommets in the correct diameter is all you need

You're missing the bigger hole in the rear valance. Order one from VWH - they're better than the Chinese ones.
