I’m liking the one mil cutting disc fir this sort of thing mainly because it’s easy with the right pair of glasses and ear plugs. Mark out the piece you want and then re Mark it with your disc, if you’re worried about heat, go and do sumfink else and give it five minutes, then go down a little deeper etc etc etc.Try your hardest not to cut through and just hold it lightly, if you’re unsure about keeping a straight line, clamp a ply template on with three or four clamps and occasionally move the clamps one at a time. Don’t let it get all heated in one place and keep the cutter moving rather than let it get stuck in there and munching it’s way through. Ozziedog,,,,,,just slowly slowly will do it
Thanks for all the advice guys! The 1mm cutting discs worked great, like cutting soft ply. I say discs as they came in a 10 pack for £4.74 on Amazon delivered. Only started on the one so anybody looking for some give me a shout . Although at under a fiver you might just order them n save the P&P ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've cut a lot of thin ply with them as they don't split the wood... so long as you don't mind it getting a bit burnt.
I use my grinder for everything I can. I love my grinder. Not great for toughened glass but I got quite a long way once.
