  1. I'll do a proper pic of my breathers think I've got em right this is the best engine one I've got at the min , can see your point with the fuel cap , but my cap is a bit crap so can't see it being air tight but you never know IMG_1125.JPG

  2. If I remember rightly don't your breathers go to your air box @wingnut1574 ?

  3. I've got em coming out the t pice and into top of oil bath ?

  4. that rubber hose going to your distributor vac can, where is it coming from out of interest.

  5. Side of carb

  6. Unless you mean the fuel hose running over the top of it into pump from tank

  7. Dunno if its been mentioned but you have got fuel filter the right way round and the fuel clips arnt too tight crushing the ends of the pipes? I know your a sod for doing things up too tight

  8. Is that the tank pipe in front of the dizzy?

If so that pump has to work very hard to suck the petrol..

  9. Does look like it . There normally round the back of the dizzy level with the pump and body arnt they ?

  10. petrol does not like going up hills...:D

  11. yea can see your point , going to re run that fuel line round back of dizzy, new filter , and the carb is in bits at the min waiting to be cleaned, but I've come down with the man flu , so it will have to wait a few days

  12. Where exactly does your fuel pipe to the pump come through from the tank?

  13. The hole on the left like all of em , I just ran it longer down the side of the engine thinking it was out the way of the heat of the manifold and stuff , on the old pump it ran behind the dizzy but when I bought the new manifold that's slightly fatter or a different shape(machine7 ) it was fouling the fuel outlet pipe on the old pump so I bought the new one where you can unscrew the top of the pump and move it round giving me more room on the manifold that's when I put the hose round the front of the dizzy , but it's obvious not happy there so will try and re route

  14. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I don't think this will be the problem, I did the same once and it was OK. There should really be a piece of steel pipe, I expect you know that.

  15. Weeel...as Zed says, it should come through the front tinware via a steel fuel pipe.

  16. Yep bit of pipe in place
