My numax 10A charger has given up after 10 yrs or so. It has been good but it has a cooling fan that could be a little noisy at times. A direct replacement is around £55. I wondered if anyone with a ctek could tell me if they are up to the job and are they silent?

Which one do you use and what is the output?

My current Numax charger is 1o Amp and less money, the ctek 7 amp would be up to the job output wise and may be worth the extra money just for the quiet bit

  5. Not sure what tour numax does but ctek does a lot more than just charging, you can compleltey rejuvenate a dead battery

mines screwed to the inside of the rock n roll bed on the wooden "wall" nearest the fridge

  10. Ahh I had it in my head that we as the agm battery selection thing

  11. Snap but mine is straight[IMG]

  12. Mine's screwed onto the false floor I have covering the ECU and Scooby electrics under the bed. I have a Waeco CR-65 2 way fridge and it will happily run that, my lights and 12v sockets in supply mode with no fuss.

  13. What the other chaps said above. I fitted one before my hols. No issues with it - no noise- no fan and I fitted mine so it just unplugs to use on another vehicle if necessary - its actually at the back of the drivers seat and put a socket there. ive got the MXS 7 too. and yep theres a setting for temps below 5C (snowflake).

  14. I got a 5, it does the job fine but I wish I'd bought a 7

I have only seen it on the company site, it looks bigger when you have something to compare it to, I think I will try to fit mind in the engine bay where I have the existing one.
I will check the instructions on their site though see if the heat in the engine bay will knacker it!
