Crossover seat runners.........

  1. Quickie......Just bought some seats from a 72 crossover Bay, ends up that the runners are the same as the later type....ie dont fit my 73......typical...
Seller reckons they are original .......I know crossovers have some weird differences.
But I reckon they've been grafted in, anyone agree??

  2. I can't see how a 72 would have later runners if a 73 had earlier ones. Something has been changed, either on the van or on the seats.

  3. Got to agree with baybirmingham on this one. I have a 72 and it is the older basic teeth runners in mine. I did put Saab seats in and they were a straight swop but had to drill an additional 2 holes to secure them on the old runners.

Put a pick up of the seats and I will let you know if they are the same as my old ones.

  4. Exactly my thoughts.........
Cant put a pic up as they're over at my mates workshop, but they're deffo later ones.......t25 style runners etc and fatter squabs.
Couldn't see the runners on the advert, just assumed from the year.......and didnt know about the slightly different shape of the seat!........until now. Heh.......
