Crew cab interior

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Jacosmotor, Dec 7, 2020.

  1. Couple of questions !!!
I know it always raises questions but I want to fit a flip seat to my crew cab, first I would need to remove the bulk head down to seat base level then add a brace across the back at that level, my thinking is the bulk head is not as important to structural integrity as in a camper.
Secondly I intend to retrim it all, so what would be a fair price for the front and rear seats which are in good condition, knowing that the rear seats are pretty hard to find, undecided whether to sell the rear seat base again a difficult to find piece.
    What’s your views folks???

If when you name a price , somebody offers you and almost immediately hands over the asking price, in an Asda carpark in exchange for the seat parts its too low.. :)

they are early seats, quite valuable, however, how many early crew cabs without seats are there? difficult to find but probably just as difficult to sell, i had some crewcab panels took 3 years to sell, they did however sell to the guy who inquired when they were first advertised. so can be a long sell, £600 is probably sensible, but perhaps ,more to the right person/time etc

I could be interested in the rear seat depending on what you decide.

take into account what you think they are worth, your personal taste etc, if you decide to sell your van one day it will have an impact on price and desirability to prospective buyers, i would think carefully before off loading them, you will have difficulty replacing them
