As a few of you know i was at Eddys on friday nite and Saturday, then off to that london on sat evening , Techenders was just awesome, such a great venue, atmosphere and genuinely warm helpful people, its so much more than any show ive been to in 10 years. must try and bring a bus sometime... then i went to that london to support my lad in the marathon first stop the ace cafe for a bite to eat ..
we was surprised to learn, that you can use a contactless payment card to spend the day on the tube for £7.50.. no ticket rec and straight through the stations quickly.. off to the embankment to commence 7 hrs walking ..
on to the marathon, the wheelchair racers were in good form .. one of the front runners of the ladies race .. huge crowds around the tower of london .. plenty of runners doing well....
My lad matt finished in 3hrs 30 , which is extremely good considering he is still suffering the effects of a shingles attack 3 weeks ago .. in the top 8000... and raised over £2k for a small charity ,he volunteers for.. packed at the finish
beat your time then, loved you story of how you sprained your ankle jumping up for the camera right at the start
yup when i ran it many years ago .. i leapt up at the 1st mile marker ,as there was a tv camera there , and came down and sprained my right ankle..still ran the other 25.2 miles on it ..
