Wow. I would never have thought country music would be popular over there. When The Texas VW Classic lined up and went on that scenic drive, I never mentioned it ended at a really cool bar where Willie Nelson and other well knowns often hang out. It is set far back in the woods under huge ancient Oak trees. It's actually built to look like an old west town complete with a post office, Hay & Feed, hotel, BBQ restaurant, etc,... But it really looks like a Hollywood set inside and out. No carpeting or any kind of visible modern amenities to be found. (except for the uh,.... loos.) It's so far out in the middle of nowhere that famous musicians could just show up without being mobbed. I suspect it was built by Willie and his friends. I saw a woman driving a giant 45" long tour bus for some musician/band right through the little town. They were cutting out just as we all arrived. I heard a woman behind me say to her friend, "Look at her drive that big ole thing. You'd never guess how drunk she was." The parking lot- Beer & BBQ on the right. In the distance you see the big tour bus squeezing down "Main St.". Discreet technology-
Sharon and I love most modern country music, so much so that this was our wedding song: Lonestar - Amazed Followed by this one Michael Peterson-Drink Swear Steal & Lie We are off to the States again in 10 days (not that we are counting!!) Sharon has a huge list of CD's for us to buy including Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton and Sara Evans. We can't wait!!!!
