What Aussie website did you look at?

We have a friends in Aus @Terrordales and I also have other friends that live in Aus.

  3. @sjhjoinery - I don't know about the OP, Betty the Bay, but that pic is great for me, thanks!

Mine appears to have been constructed the other way around previously (with the narrow part fixed to the roof so the struts form an upside down V). Yours looks the more sensible way around, but I'm still confused about what happens with a side wind or if unequal pressure comes from the struts for a moment - does yours "just work"? Are there straps or similar to stop the over extension of one side? Am I worrying needlessly?

@sjhjoinery - that will be a great help in working out which size/strength of strut is required.......I'll just read the label !
I was going to put the struts on the sides to replace the existing X frames....there is an existing X frame on the rear that keeps the roof level.
Razzhy - the site was Caravansplus.com.au The Breha canopy lifters look like my rear X frame and I am assuming that the side ones would have been the same design.

  5. @Betty the Bay I can get more measurements tomorrow with the roof up ect if that helps?

  6. Leave poptop alone - hes fine as he is!

That would be great.....the height of the poptop lift isn't critical....as long as I can stand up in it ! Can't do any measurements on mine at the moment...its waiting with Autohausdolby for the verdict on the state of the engine. It started running on 3 cylynders in the Scottish Highlands !
