  1. Oops that elf from the elf and safety department has come to tell me off lol

You will be telling me its bad to remove brake dust from drums with an airline aswell

  2.
  3.
  4. I bought myself a small compressor & an air powered orbital sander, it was a nightmare 1 minute of sanding 2 minute wait etc. You need a large capacity one to be of any use. :)

  5.
  6. That doesn't look like a bad bit of kit, Price and spec very similar to the Sealey, the only thing i would find out before getting it is the availability of spares, I've managed to break a wheel on mine and the filters (mainly moving it about) and spares like these are cheap from sealey.

  7. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Ignore the size of the air cylinder - whether it takes 20 seconds or 30 for the compressor to kick in makes no difference. The important number is the cu ft/min - that's the smaller number where 2 are given. Then compare to tools requirements. I have 2x 3HP 50L Each manage about 9.5 cu ft/min so I've got 19 in total if I link them up and they keep up with anything. I can also use one for air fed mask and one for paint so always got plenty of even pressure for the gun. And they are small and light.

  8. Air tools like sanders just gobble air. For wet sanding, I've got an 18V battery orbital that had a knackered battery. Took the battery apart soldered long cables to a remote an old dell laptop power supply. Battery pack clips back into the sander and your good.

Depends what you plans are. If your using it for spraying and a bit of impact driver to shift stuck stuff you won't need such a beast compressor.
