Compression test done - not good- help

  1. Port work on the heads is a great way to free up extra power from your engine and will work well with future upgrades
It doesent come cheap though as its very time consuming

  2. No was I meant to, who's Rob

  3. Think I will give it a miss then because 1. The long haired General has the purse strings 2. As I am only changing the barrels and pistons at this stage I don't want to put to much extra pressure on a May be tired short block.
I am hoping I will notice some difference with changing the b+p's (not a lot though)

Sorry was thinking of someone else.

But you're south Lincolnshire so maybe not far from Wisbech? There you will find Robert Parry who will do a valve job and basic porting at a very reasonable price.
You can PM him on here or VZi or call him - his number is on his signature. He'll also inspect your bits (ooer missus) for you if you want. He's been building these engines since 1967. Nice man, very helpful.

  5. Thanks zed, found him. May be something to save up for with the panels, servo bits, gear linkage, welder, compressor, interior, heating and then must remember to feed the darling children and get my priorities sorted.
    Dam realism
