  1. i have up graded to a bigger better compresser,
my old cheapy,25l had a regulator with 2 sockets for the air lines..

    the new one ..[pictured]50 litre
has just a pipe coming from the end of the tank

what set up would you recommend, its on wheels so i would like it to be portable...

Id undo the 90' Elbow (fitting sticking out) and replace with an equal T and then you can plug the open ends up with the usual quick fit hose connection thus giving you two connectors

  5. Seems a good idea...
Do I need to regulate the pressure..?
The cut off valve on top ,with the dial only has, an off and auto setting..
I think it cuts out at 150 psi..

150psi cut out is standard on pretty much all of the compressors on the market. Its a safety device, basically to stop the receiver blowing up!

You could regulate the pressure, its all down to choice - you can get basic regs or lubricated regs, again all down to choice. The lubricated ones have a glass bowl you fill with oil to stop corrosion (we don't use these, we have a plumbed in air dryer).

How frequent use will it see?

  7. Ok thanx..

Not much use some cutting and painting small areas
could I add a water trap and filter for spraying.."

Yeah that would work fine! Machine Mart will have all of the parts you need or your local Engineering supplier (or eBay)!

  9. I will need to have a browse...
I wish we had a machine mart here...:(

I have 2 hoses the small (1/4" fitting ) type and a bigger( 1/2" fitting) rubber hose,

So I imagine I could use 2 different couplings...
    For different amounts of air,

  10. very similar to the setup we have!

You could use different sizes as you suggest, that would work - we use 20mm diameter steel pipe for the main supply line with the quick fit fittings leading to 15mm o/d rubber hose.
