Complete rear corners?

  1. Anybody on TLB ever fitted the complete Genuine rear corners on their bus? How did you go about it and how did you get on?

  2. The folk who did the welding on my bus changed both complete rear corners. I'm glad they did, as I'm rot free. At the top, they plug-welded through the air vents: tricky, but do-able. They painted the insides before fitting.

  3. Thanks@snotty, I can imagine it must be a tricky job.

  4. I know john at VW Welding services in Manchester fits them regularly. might be worth giving him a call. He is a really nice guy.

  5. Thanks chap.

  6. The real trickyness is getting everything lined up: avoiding sticky-out bottom corners and alignment around the tailgate opening. There's a lot of stuff to get right. But...I'd recommend having it done. I got my two rear panels in a JK sale, I recall. Think it was £90 for both, which was a bit bargainous.

The fit is easy peasy, they're very good, it's welding the top half that can be done neatly or become a mess.
