FOR SALE Complete LHD interior units and RnR Bed

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by Rixy, Apr 21, 2016.

  1. I have decided to sell my complete interior from my LHD bay. I built this myself, and it's been a good interior, but we've decided to go full width bed, as we want to start going for weeks away as opposed to a night or two here and there.

So because of this, rather than modify this interior I've decided to sell it as is, complete with Westy Rock and Roll bed, inc foams custom trimmed in brown vinyl.

The units consist of 3 main cupboards under sink and Hob, with a cutlery drawer.
There is a top lid locker behind the main unit, then a side wardrobe in the rear side window and a nut cracker overhead unit with LED spotlights.
The Smev sink / Hob is included with cold electric tap.

The interior is in fair condition, as I say only removed as I'm building a new one, but it is 3 years old so has a few marks and what not.

I can take it to Stanford Hall if required

Not really sure what it's worth, so I'll start at £900.00

If this is wrong, please let me know. All I know is it's costing me a lot more than that to replace it all. The sink alone cost me over £300.00.

i think thats a fair price for a complete and excellent condition interior. But if you are looking to sell quicker, a drop in price to around £850 would do you well. Although, why replace something that works and in such a good condition?

  3. Only replacing because we are going full width. We've always used the camper for shows and weekends away, but as I say, we want to start touring a bit in it, going to the Lake District, and Cornwall etc for week or two periods, and having more sleeping room would be an advantage.

I did think about the price starting at 850, but didn't want to start there and then someone knock me down even lower as I don't think I'd want to take much less than that, not with everything that's included.

  4. Only time I've wished my bus was LHD. Bargain for someone. Good luck with the sale.

  8. Love the interior, toying with the idea aLthough my bus is a mini bus and gets used for weddings.
How easy / difficult was the right hand drive conversion?

  9. Wasn't the hardest thing I've done. But wasn't the simplest either.

I had a shads is cut from a RHD late bay, as it has all the holes pre drilled for the steering box, then you need the steering box, idler arm etc.

You also need to mod the front beam and swap the servo bracket over, and move the damper. Then weld all the holes in the floor and cut new ones.

You also bored all the pedals and linkages, and everything associated.

Then a RHD dash, steering column is the same for both RHD and LHD.

Then extend the wiring loom and switched as required. And move the throttle cable tube.

So fairly involved, but I'm glad I did it.

  10. We've done loads of weddings in ours people love it matey.

We've had press coverage, we used to do wedding fairs etc.
I'll see if I can find some pics later.....

  11. Nice one. Where are you based?

  12. Near kings lynn, Norfolk, but I'm going to Stanford Hall VW Show next weekend if you was interested in it?

  13. Still miles away unfortunately. I won't mess you around as I'm still undecided, so good luck with the sale. However I will still be contemplating this And putting it to the boss (wife). If I Manage to persuade the boss then I might be able to make a trip that way. It would go amazing in my bus and I wouldn't have to change any existing colours so very hopeful about this.
    Cheers

  14. Where abouts are you then? I could always meet you half way or something for a bit of fuel money if you did decide, as I have a t5 panel van as my work van

  15. I'm near Rochester Kent. Not far from the Dartford tunnel!

  16. I could always do a trip that way if you wanted it's up to you bud. That's only 2 to 2 and a half hours away.

Have a chat with you're wife anyway. I'll leave it up to you. I'd happily deliver it for fuel costs and a drink though. I love driving my van haha.
