My wife’s cousin, who I occasionally help with house clearances has Vauxhall high top van. This year, his premium has gone from under £700 to around £2500.
Nothing, other than getting a year older, has changed…have any of you “professionals “ on here noticed anything similar and have you any suggestions on where to look for cheaper quotes?

Not on a commercial policy, but I have noticed a lot of premiums jumping that sort of amount. I'm dreading renewel in June on my 21 plate Relay. I don't think Classic policies are affected as much.

  6. We're all just here to pay the government's taxes...

What happened to ANPR ridding the roads of uninsured and untaxed vehicles

  7. It's used by Sadiq's ULEZ to pay off TfL's huge pension liability

I believe its the "one tap and its a new battery pack" attitude of repairing the government imposed infestation of EVs..

My daughters insurance was much cheaper in Swansea despite lower driving standards but where few have EVs.. compared with Hampshire.

Just wait until you hit a BYD and it becomes a total fireball loss in a collision that would have just needed a new wing before EVs..

I use A-Plan, now called Howdens, in Thatcham, for my bus and buggy. Just redid the buggy at £107, same as last year, and that was the quote - no artificial hike to be brought down with a phone call, which was refreshing.

Also for clawing back all the COVID susidy of TfL.. it would otherwise have just mostly shut down as it bled money during COVID and made living in London have almost zero advantages over that cardboard box in Yorkshire.

I said the very same to Direct Line (as well as forget it)!

We changed from Direct Line to Churchill last year, because they quoted silly prices…. only slight increases this year of £20-30.

  14. The guy I work with has a Renault master, his has nearly doubled from last year to almost a grand. No change in circumstances

Im about to walk away from them, they have been the best price wise for me consistently for about ten years. This time, LV have come out on top at just under £400.
