clock bulbs earthing ?

  1. would it be safe to assume ? that with the way the clock bulbs are supplied with power and earths ,that if I withdraw a bulb ,in its bulbholder and have it hanging by its wire and switch it live ,even if it may be ok it will not light up due to not earthing? or am I way way off re this?ta 4 advice

  3. TA kilmo spent quite a will looking at dangling from wire holder and bulb thinking " funny ,sure that should work", Hmm
     
  4. Yup. the holders are grounded on the back of the instrument cluster.
