Classic Mini 1275 GT in very nice condition. Let me start at the beginning... About 10 years I was working with a chap who is now a good friend of mine. He had just inherited this car from his old school friend who, 10 years or so prior, as a Ford apprentice sometime in the 1980/90s, had rebuilt the engine unit to a very high standard. The deal between my friend and his school friend was that if he got it commisioned then they would car share it. However my friend never quite got round to doing it so it basically stood for circa 20 years all in between them. The best news is that for all that time it was garaged. Phew! Fast forward to February this year and my friend got in contact with me asking if I was interested in buying it. Long story short the car became mine and was immediately transported to a Mini and Metro Specialists for full recomissioning. This included: Gearbox Linkage Seal replaced Fit correct recon alternator Genuine correct tin master cylinder Front brake discs and pads Rear brake shoes Rear brake cylinders Rear brake hoses Engine service inc oil, filter and spark plugs Carb clean Good second hand fuel tank fitted and fuel lines flushed And more. Receipt available. Since then I've replaced: Radiator Waterpump Drive belt Thermostat Thermostat cover Thermostat studs and nuts Heater valve Heater valve studs and nuts Poly bush mounts Full carpet set in grey Under carpet sound deadening And more. Again I have receipts. Unfortunately I cannot justify owning two GTs and I want to get back into my bus. The car idles solid and really does shift and is a testament to the Ford apprentice who rebuilt her. The car passed the MOT with no worries. Very nice . My sister had a 1275gt with a red and black triangle decal up each side. She also had a black 850 with tinted windows and fake fur lined interior! Yours is far more classy
Thanks Ive spent a few good hours getting her to this point. What I like most is that bar a few minor items she is so original. My other GT is a Blaze Red (orange) and Im looking forward to getting her up to this standard. After the Bus is done that is

I agree lovely I use to have a mk1 cooper wish I still had it great fun going around corners on 3 wheels but with 7" discs not good stopping really
