I was having difficulty finding my Christmas mojo this year, it's an occupational hazard when Christmas starts in mid November in school and having been 'Christmased Out' before I can get into the mood. I have been knee deep in glitter for weeks but can't get enthused. Until tonight ... we went shopping for Christmas bbq stuff, sprouts, check, chestnuts, check, and the biggest bottle of Pendryn ever seen! Other alcohol has been purchased and we have hot mulled apple planned too
Lou is the same -- she works with reception and year 1 now , the kids love the run up and excitement but it does wear thin on us a bit . Mulled wine and the smell of Christmas eve fish supper does it in our house -- Traditionally Lou does squid and octopus and other Napolitano fish dishes
