  1. This is my bus 'Chester - short for Moonchester which is the name my Daughter gave our old splitty and she wants this one to be the same -much better than Daisy or Buttercup which were the other options!

Had it lowered last week at 81a VW in Southport and put the new wheels on today. I wasn't happy with the colour but I think the drop and the wheels have made it look quite a lot more acceptable.

Just a few bits to do and it'll be sorted - I saw few - new windscreen, new interior, new seat/bed covers, new poptop, new rear bumper, new dash, new floor, new roof rubbers and a couple of minor repairs - oh and maybe a new colour ;-)

I'll be at Tatton Park on Sunday on the NDA stand which will be all kitted out in an Alice In Wonderland theme and we'll be raising money for the Christie hospital in Manchester. Come over and say hello.

  2. Nice looking bus mate - my buddy has one in the same colour, but his is yellow all over and he also has the same wheels, which defo suit the colour of the bus.

don't change the colour, it looks cool.

  7. Looking very nice!! Don't knock the Daisy's and buttercups though. Ours is a daisy (inherited though and don't want to change the name, feels wrong)

  8. If we weren't blue we'd be yellow :)

  9. I'm digging the total package! Looks very nice.
How's the interior set up? Any photos?

what method of lowering have you gone for, beam adjusters or drop spindles? looks great though :)

  11. Interior is functional and just about ok at the moment. A 2/3 r n r bed, a home made cabinet and an overhead shelf. Trying to get a new cabinet delivered from Worcester to here near Bolton - best quote £80 so far!
Will post some pics when its done .

  12. VW81A did it - adjuster on front and a spline at rear.
Would recommend having it done - looks miles better and handles much better.

  13. Neeeh I've seen it in real life... it's bob... :p

  16. On way to Harewood House and suddenly lost all power. Managed to swerve into a side street and pull over. AA been and the bolts holding the drive shaft to the hub have sheared. Got my camping ticket and 3 kids passes too. Not happy.
Been sat here nearly two hours already and pick up not here yet.

    7pm.
Sat at home now - do I cook the Spam and drink the now warmed up beer or bugger off to the pub and get hammered??
Don't bother replying to that question - I wont be here to answer it
