Im trying to get some quotes together for possible bus's. Does anyone know any competetive insurance companies?
Peter James beat all other quotes when i renewed 2 years ago and it didn't go up the following year. Good luck with the search
I was amazed at how cheap my insurance was: £130 for a year's comprehensive insurance for a '79 2l rhd late bay with purchase price of £3k, annual mileage of 3k, parked on drive in Milton Keynes. Got the insurance agents details (Lancaster Insurance Services, underwritten by KGM Motor Insurance) from one of the monthly bus mags. This is my first bus (bought Dec '12) and I was expecting the insurance to cost two or three times as much! Guess I'm a low insurance risk! What does everyone else pay? Let's compare prices!!
£301 for bug and bus fully comp, unlimited mileage, uk and european cover and breakdown plus 4 named drivers on both. mine are both parked on the street.
Possibly considering two at the moment but no idea on insurance so trying to take everything in to account money wise.
We have Herts with full breakdown recovery and key insurance however I dont think they are the cheapest, we went through JK, and I did not ring around, as we needed it insured there and then and they were the ones that answered the quickest..............
I've just been through this for my first bus. Tried all the usual suspects, cheapest quote was from Carole Nash. Next were Sureterm and Peter James.
RH Specialist division for me. Rang loads from volsworld mag. and they were the cheapest. That may be because i have a beetle on the same insurance.
Something to keep an eye on is the contents cover they offer, some offer good premiums but the cover is rubbish, RH were the best option I found for price, excesses, contents, breakdown and euro cover, others a lot of stuff were add ons, plus I'm in west London, so many didn't really want to know, as was clear by their quotes Good luck, its minefield
