  1. Not everyone likes to buy cheap tyres,

But as my bus is eating through my wallet faster than the government I have decided to gamble on a cheap set of rubber for the bus.
I stumbled upon this website and found the service to be good.. And very cheap.

A full set of tyres fitted for £161

They may not be the best, I Don't really do a lot of miles and I rarely go out In the rain. And above 60mph,

Cheap tyres aren't to everyone's tastes, but then again someone people can't afford the expensive stuff.

  2. you get what you pay for with tyres bud
that said (& i know some people on here will disagree)i personally think it doesn`t make a great deal of difference what you stick on a bay unless it`s tuned to death

  3. The only notable difference (from having cheap tyres in the past) is grip in the wet, apart From that, no difference at all really.

  4. i tend to spend more time wiping condensation off the inside of the windscreen when driving in the rain than noticing the handling qualities or lack of:thumbsup:

Can't comment on what you bought as you linked to the site, not the tyres.
If the load rating is ok I'm sure they'll be fine.

i always found partworns to be fine, a 1600 bus isn't all that in the performance stakes so all is cool! better named tyres too:)

when my van came from america it had nearly new nankang tyres on, the thing was all over the road in the wind, when i went to alloys and put expensive tyres on it made a world of difference.

  8. I did find buying on line from national tyres save me 60 quid on 2 tyres

not on my van they do seem to be wearing at all...

  9. I'm on my second set of cheap tyres. Drives fine. They perish on the side walls after 4 years so I bin em and buy another set. Expensive tyres may take longer to perish but I still won't wear them out. My cheap tyre tread still looks new!

  10. a place near me does part worn tyres....you would not know they where worn the looked new to me...last time i got some load rated ones. im sure they where £20 each balanced and fitted. maybe 25.

  11. Which kind of matters when you have to brake hard and it's raining.

  12. It's only a slight difference, and that was a difference I noticed in my honda civic type r, never noticed when driving the bay :)

  13. I got some commercials for the back of mine and they came in at £100,

Register on quidco (free cashback website) then use the link to blackcircles. you can order your tyres (black circle tends to be very competitive) to your local tyre fitter but they will be fitted at online prices, and you get a percentage cash back from quidco too.

  14. Get the Brazilian Goodyears that Danbury sell on fleabay with new standard rims , c
Good tyres, quiet and grip well. I got a second hand set for £50 from guy on brazibay forum.
Don't buy cheap tyres or brakes, you and your family's life depend on that rubber!

  15. Have you got a link to the Brazilian Goodyears please? Any other tyre recommendations?

  16. They were on fleabay - Danbury have a fleabay shop, when they put alloys on the brazibays they have shed loads of these to shift. Usually £290 for new stock wheels fitted with the Goodyear GP2 tyres. But £60 postage or pickup from the factory? Might be worth just phoning them direct? Sorry I cant find their link on fleabay at the mo?

  17. ^^^^ This. Look at some tyre tests and then decide if cheap tyres are a good investment.
