Cheap power cable - millets

  1. Was looking at putting a hook up in the van but for this price just bought this. Loads of cable, three sockets with breakers. Couldn't make one for this price.

  3. That is reassuring being aware of the Gallic liberal temperament yet still keeping British values. :D

we got one from go outdoors for £30 the other week just as a back up if we ever have to take the car and a tent if the van throws a hissy fit.

  5. Make sure you earth it to the van

  6. Nice find - ordered one. I am not ready to update my interior yet so this will help for now. Cable will go through the sink drain hole in floor as I don't carry the sink unit any more.

    have a read of this

    basically
Your van is a metal box insulated on each corner (tyres) if a fault occurs the metal work may become live and you won’t know until you step onto the damp grass while still holding the van BANG !!

The van metal parts must be earthed within the van (The leads with a socket and RCD on a lead and passed through the window DONOT comply as if there is a fault the metal could become live and still not trigger the RCD and are for tents and awanings.)

IF you do use one open it up and fit a min of 4mm2 cable from the rcd to the body work

  10. Ah ha!!!
Glad you brought this up @Borninabug as I've just got hold of one of those and the adaptor to plug it at home for £15!!
So looks like we have to earth it to the bodywork then?
