Charity VW yard sale

  1. Don't think I need any of the bits you've got, but just wanted to say I really value you donating the proceeds to Night Stop (as well as volunteering your time!) as some of this stuff is worth some pennies and it's all too easy these days to not think about others who may need the money more than ourselves. So big love to ya

    :)
Well I got my "lost" pennies back by selling selling selling, eventually, so this seems kind of surplus to requirements now ... Things have stalled a bit though so I might have to bite the bullet and put some time into advertising more widely.
Thing is, I'm more protective of my time than my cash!
You got a connection to Nightstop?
We're getting our last bit of training next week so the reality of hosting will be hitting pretty soon o_O
They need drivers as well so that might happen too.
Thanks for the support :hattip:... (you know there's something in the pile with your name on it ;))

You know how rural it is here ... My main concern is that they'll be mostly urban (if not necessarily urbane) and will feel "trapped" even if it IS only overnight .... "Feed them well and give them space" seems to be the idea.
Lots of other agencies involved, so it does just feel like a bit of teamwork

  5. Sounds like you know our most precious resource... time! :D
I've known of Nightstop for a few years through connections with 2 charities I've volunteered for in Bristol. Haven't worked with them directly tho. They seem like a good vibe, and I'm glad to hear you're getting some training to help you be as open to the process. I'm sure it will be a journey for everyone involved!
Best of luck with it, and I'd welcome hearing how you get on with it
