I've removed the old servo- luckily there's plenty of room for manoeuvre with the master cylinder so I didn't have to disconnect it. It helped to undo two of the clips holding the brakepipes to the floor. I was going to weld something to the old mounting plate to widen it but I don't think it's necessary. I'm going to grind four notches in the sides of the original plate for the wider set studs (I'll post a pic when I've done it) and I've made some plates to support it out of 2mm plate. I've looked in the m/cyl end and I'm not sure if that rod needs adjusting or if it even can be. Can anyone enlighten me please?
Did you know that the servo connection on the Brazzy servo is also a one way valve? But as you'll have noticed it points in the wrong direction. If that causes a problem, you already have a one way valve near the engine so you can pull the connection from the old servo and use that, they fit like grommets, no sealant or glue or anything.
No I didn't know that. The connector on the old servo is good so I'll use that. Thank you for that. Any idea on whether I need to adjust the rod with the dome nut on it on the m/cyl side?
I guess if it pressed on your m/c or vica versa depending on what gives, you would want to screw it in a bit? Possibly having always paired them with a Brazzy M/C they've been set good to go, I'm sure it would be something I'd considered.
It would need a big brake kit as well to stop something that size!! Sent from my mobile communicating device thing using Talkatap.
I've made the four notches in the mounting plate now to locate the studs on the Brazza servo. I reckon you could just use nuts and washers but the plates I've made will make it secure. I could always weld the plates in place but I don't see the point really. A bit of paint now and fit it tomorrow.
That's just wrong on so many levels!!! Sent from my mobile communicating device thing using Talkatap.
