Changing engine mounts on type 4 engine

Hi looking to change the two engine mounts on the bar on a type 4 engine in our baywindow soon.

I was wondering if anyone knew how it's done?

Any help appreciated

With some difficulty.
Fan housing off to get at the top nuts, which means heat exchangers off.

 

Not yet but I think I have to after finding two metal plates with a bit of a coating of rubber left on them when I took the engine out. . But then i don't think the bar should have been free to move about like it was doing...

Nothing like the pictures of what Google thinks an engine mount should look like!

 

Luckily when the mounts break the engine still sits on them.
