  1. Just a washer on the nut side.?

  2. Or a walk on the wide side, maybe?

  10. Phew that was close... I must have the other washers hidden with the other through bolts... thought they were duplicates.

Cyril T each side of each washer and Permatex 3H on the case then....... just have to remember to put the oil pick up in there and lube that cam...

Do you pop some sealant on the smaller edge bolts?

  12. And Curil and Dirko are Elring products and they supply VW so can't be too bad as VW would never do anything wrong...

I thought the big case studs used O rings between the case halves so you do not really need sealant under the washers as they should not be leaking..

I like the Bugpak idea of using Nylock nuts on the case studs so they stay done up. I bought one of the sets of fixings a while back and used it on my engine build but the big VW washers are a lot harder than the Bugpack ones so I used the OG washers on the head studs.

  15. No o rings in a type 4 case...just some stud holding pasticy things..like cellery
