I have a twin carbtune for my motorbike.

Before use I clean and polish the metal rods so they slide easily in the tubes.

I don’t use them often and they seem to get sticky but this solves it.

    Worth a try ?

Close is good enough. If you did it with snails then checked you'd (probably) see they were miles out in comparrison.
A small tweak of the bypass on 3 would level it with 4 for perfection, then balance the two carbs.

  4. That'll be where I have difficulty, 3/4 carb is the one that the air bypass is stuck in ..head sheared off trying to remove when I cleaned them up.. I'll get them both up a bit on that side to match 1 and 3 then itll be closer all round

If the numbers sit at a different place after revving, have a look inside the bores of the carbs near the throttle plates - this kind of thing happens when the throttle plates have worn steps in the sides of the bore - a little sanding may reduce the problem. Or its just the linkages are wearing out.
