carbs

  1. I have a weber progressive carb fitted at present but i have a full stock set up including oil bath filter which i am thinking about fitting which would be best stay as i am or change it

    If i change has anyone got a pic of where all the pipe connections go on the carb and filter

    No pic here but I did a write up in the howto with a youtube video I think.

    Hose from front of carb goes to vacuum advance on distributor.

    Hose from manifold (may need to drill and jb weld a small pipe) goes to thermoswitch on top of air cleaner box. Hose from thermoswitch to hot air diverter valve.



    And an airbox with 60mm hose replaces the original stock plastic elbow from the aircleaner to the top of the carb.
    I used an ali box with bits of ali sheet popriveted to it to make the air box. Then sealed with fibreglass body filler and painted.

    Then retune the carb leaner as it now works properly even at -5C...

    ^ Reading that and having also read of the trouble Mike's been to to get this carb fully sorted, I'd fit the stock setup. :D
     
  4. progressive runs well just thinking about getting the bus back to more stock and wondering how much performance?? would change
