Weber DFAV Twin choke progressive carb with inlet manifold, air filter and spare jets. Full working order but could do with the preheat mod and rolling road if you want it to run right! £100. Solex 34 pict 3, original carb with an air leak. Tried a refurb kit without success. £30. Is this for a 1600 twinport? and is it a 32/36? and what is the preheat mod? and also what is the difference betwenn the DFAV and the DFEV ? sorry for all the question's ;D
Yes and yes, if you have a search online its a recommended mod totake heat from the exhaust and feed it into the carb.this is supposed to help the carb run leaner. I dont know if it's correct but i did find that I had too run rich to get decent performance. On the other hand I have friends in my local club who run fine without. Don't know what the difference is between dfav and dfev, think the acronym is Air and Electric but could be wrong.
think the dfav is an electric choke as per the normal solex's on a type 1 engine, and the dfev is the same carb, but has water pipes run into it so choke comes off when water temp is reached? i could be wrong though
