  1. Hi all,

I have just got a carb, ebay jobby, but it has a few missing bits. I was just wondering if you guys think it's still useable or if anyone had any of the bits I need knocking around.....

It's missing the little bracket over the end of the choke and also the fast idle screw, see pic.

And then the rear stud has pulled out here...

What do you reckon? The seller has offered a full refund but thought I would see if it was still useable if I could get the bits.

    Cheers

    Nick

  2. By the looks of it it is a original solex so would probably be worth finding the bits :) as it is better than a Chinese copy! :)

  3. I got a stud missing on the bottom of my carb , I just use a nut and bolt been fine for ages or you on about the brass stud thats normally in the side of the carb ? .

  4. It looks pretty much all there but its hard to see really, bolt it on and see what happens.

  5. How much play in the throttle butterfly shaft is there?

Most second hand solexes need rebushing as the original bushes wear and allow unmetered air in resulting in a high idle speed
