Caravan blinds

Thinking of fitting caravan blinds to the camper. Anyone done it yet? Or am i a pioneer? (i know zed did something in his earlie but this will be slightly different)

 

I wondered if it was feasible to fit the concertina type T4/5 blinds, it'll be interesting to see which ones you use and how you get on.

 

I got them as stardard in my love bus...

 

would be hard as the sides of the van curves where as caravans and motorhomes are flat

 

Foam strip behind the side rails of the cassette would sort that.

 

But then it would stick out into the van

 

soft foam would compress to nothingness on the contact points then be full bodied in the curved gap.

 

I have pelmets (i think) so the curve does not matter...

 

You talking about the dehler right? i found one on a german site for sale, wasnt the same as yours though, similar but not so equipped

 

mines a lot less equipt, now taken out shower seats etc...

Do you want me to take a picture of the blind set up ,just to give you ideas...

I had looked on caravan breaker yard sites for prices....seem to be £ 50 -£ 75 a pop. Not sure if they would work as I have sliding windows fitted.

Yes. I love out the box ideas.

 

just think some stainless security ones like on shops with added grafiety . mmmmm i have an idea now

 

would it bring the insurance down though. . . . . ..

 

Or get a panel van and paint fake Windows on it

 

And flat screen TV's on the inside. Could site inside and at the click of a remote be anywhere .
