Capt. Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure - it works

  1. I had a few issues with water leaks around the windscreen and side windows.

Well I was advised on here to try the Captain Tolley's stuff. It looks like watery milk and you have to use it sparingly.

I eased back the screen seal at the top and squirted the liquid which then ran down both sides behind the rubber seal.

After some time the white liquid started dripping behind the dash in 2 places and even out of the fresh air vent at the front of the van, due to a tiny hole in the welded panel.

After dripping out for a day or two, the stuff dried up to form a good seal. In the screen corners I had to use some silicone sealant to fill the big gap there.

Heavy rain Monday and today, and no leaks!

So, good stuff for small leaks and showing where the leaks are.

I'm an advocate of the stuff too - bought two bottles of the stuff and went mad with it - so much so I got it all down the panels - I'm still trying to get the last bits off 6 months later

  3. Me too....have used it on all the window seals and some did run on the paintwork, had to use wet/dry 2000 and some compound to remove it (dont let it dry on the paintwork), but its a great product.
