  2. I think it'd be great if Redknap gets the manager's job...he could reinstate Terry as captain...

....a tax-dodging spiv pulling strings at the top,an adulterous racist running the show...come on England!

  4. Either way i can see another last world cup performance coming up in the euros, hope i'm wrong. Just not gonna get my hopes up this time then its a bonus if we make it out the group, not the usual dissapointment when we fail misserably

  5. If Harry cant take spurs from 20th to 8th in 6 months, turn portsmouth around and lead them to FA cup glory (the good old days eh?) Get Bournemouth promoted we can get to the finals in the Euros

  8. Harry was cleared of deliberately avoiding paying tax, claiming to be "a bit thick" He hasn't denied having the money. So does that mean he now has to pay the tax?

  12. Now as a Spurs fan i don't want to see Harry go anywhere. I'm not big on International footy and haven't been for a long while. Its all about money money money and not one of the previous 3 England managers have had the balls to drop players like Rooney, Terry, Lamplard, Rio etc when they constantly play like donkeys. The reason, players like that put bums on seats and sell the merchandise.

Now on to the managers job. Harry like Capello will struggle to go from club management to International management. Harry is an old school manager and one of the best man managers in the game. He needs to be around his players daily. The players are like his children. He needs to be within the club most days. Capello was the same although not so much the man manager Harry is. Harry will struggle and find himself lost only having players for a very limited period of time ahead of friendlies. If England are to succeed then they need a manager that can adjust to not having a lot to do. Can Harry be that man? No.

Harry has a job to do with Spurs and without sounding bias the man has turned our team around in to one of the most feared teams in the PL. Even the gooners have been commenting on how good we are. Harry has managed to get us playing the type of football only Wenger can dream about. We are on the up and will be challenging City and Utd for many seasons to come at the top of the PL and we will push the top clubs in the CL too. Does he really want to leave the job half finished in favour of a job that has ruined many managers? I very much doubt it.

The obvious solution to this is Pearce comes in as caretaker manager and Harry leads England out in the Euros but returns to Spurs next season. That's what i envisage happening. The man would be a fool to take it on full time. But no man is bigger than the club and if he does go then thanks Harry for turning us around in to a world class footballing team but mainly for turning the tide in North London. For that alone you will always be a Tottenham legend. We are in a much stronger postion now and we will attract a top manager if he does. The players want to play for us and players want to come and play for us.

  16. whilst we still have the FA pulling the strings, things will never change.
they publicly go over the head of their own appointed manager and sack the team captain?
irrelevant whether Terry should of stayed or gone, could you imagine if the Manu / ManC/ Liverpool or any other top flight clubs board or director booted the club captain without consulting their team manager? would the likes of fergie / dalglish etc etc stand for it? apart from AVB at chelski of course, another puppet!

as long as the FA has direct involvement in team affairs we will suck at national level.
you employ a manager to manage, not play politics, so let him.
is this a reason why previos managers have not dropped "star" players? have they been over ruled? will we ever know?
the FA have a role but they should have F.A. to do with team selection

  17. Who knows and who cares, in the eyes of the law he is not guilty. Case dismissed :)

  19. As fans we will never understand or appreciate back ground politics that is ruining our game

  20. I wouldnt put it past the FA to find another foriegn manager. So do we all think its cut and dried Harry then??
