Thanks for everyone’s input ended up with this and have just come back from Portland harbour, we are hooked.

 

Nice, so have you practised a capsize. One day it will happen and both of you have to be able and confident to stay afloat and get back in to get back to shore.

 

Been looking at these myself, that’s the decathlon one right? Any good?

 

Yes
it’s not as good as a proper one but it was stable enough in the 11mph cross winds today and it’s easy to blow up, transport and store.
I wouldn’t want to take it out on the open sea in much worse

 

Go outdoors have some good ones.
