  1. Just silver without it falling off in a week....?

I hate the pepper pots on the T25 looks like they should fit a xr2,dunno if sprucing them up will make me feel better...

  2. Yes but you need to key them up well and use an etch primer

You'd be better getting them powder coated

As Para said - key them well and etch them - I used Wurth alloy wheel paint on my TT, it's the only one that colour matches the silver on most German cars.

  5. Powder coat them, lasts years and won't flake or chip. Had mine done 5 years ago aswell as the pop top Devon bits, 25 quid a corner and they put the tyres on.

  6. I painted my old XR2 pepper pots with dark blue Smoothrite once, couldn't get the damn stuff off again! Even after taking them to work and putting them in a big washer which used caustic soda and very hot distilled water! Took a lot of sanding to eventually shift it and I mean a lot of sanding.

  7. Almost all modern alloys are painted, and there are loads of different wheel restoration companies out there if you don't fancy the job yourself. From experience I can recommend BJV Engineering in Flaunden near Hemel Hempstead - £130 for 4 wheels..
