most locals call it stiffkey, its generally only the yuppies that call it stewkey cos its quaint!

as for camp sites, people swear by breck farm. stiffkey is a great family ran site and the local pub is really nice, good walks to wells and blakeney
wells(pinewoods) is too expensive, but is a really nice site!

  2. Well there you go then, zed, you're a yuppie :D.

I think the local yoofs just Tippexed that on the sign!

  3. Just spotted this thread, were planning a trip this way soon as we love Hunstanton, Wells & Holt it's such a lovely area...

I'm busy taking note of all the suggested sites & have just finished reading about this area in the Norfolk section of the forum!

  11. I can thoroughly recommend Stiffkey. It borders a tidal marsh which floods at high tide allowing you swim and canoe. At low tide it's crabbing heaven.
You can walk from the site, across the marsh to the huge expanse of beach where you'll find hundreds of seals. It really is quite a magical place.

While we're on the local lingo. It's gillying not crabbing lols

You'll have a great time mate. If you want a nice meal out. The red lion in stiffkey is good. If not. The crab house or the bowling green in wells are great. The three horseshoes on warham is a pie and pud pub. Well worth a look. Only open 12-2 and 6-8 every day though. Curry house in holt is the tits. The Edinburgh pub in wells is good for a pint

Have a great time matey. And if you need to know anything else just holler

  19. Sounds awesome. The 14th is the wifes birthday so we're off out for a meal with friends and then on the 15th we're seeing The Who at the O2.
