Cab floor interior colour

  1. Hi all,

I have a 79 westy. It is green with white top half. Now I need to reprint the cab floor due to some repairs. The cab floor is an off-White. I was wondering if anyone knows the colour name/code for this? It's not the same white as the top half annoyingly and appears to be factory coloured.

    Thanks!

Have you decoded your M plate?
    It's probably L90D Pastel white

  3. Yeah that's the top halfs colour but this is quite a lot lighter?

    L90E Alpine white?
Unlikely that the interior was a different white from the top half from factory, and as yours is pastel originally it's probable that one or the other has been repainted at some point!

Got any pics , Westy are one colour from the factory so the top White has been added, the floor should be green

  7. Mine appears to be rather unusual. According to my M plate it is a twin colour original Westfalia, never known of another one! I have had to paint a section of the top half and upon rubbing it down it appears that that was the factory paint still in pastel white

Your M plate says body green roof white , any pics?

This is the only pic I have to hand. The front here is a lighter white on top which is now back to the original pastel white. Both sides, back & roof it is all the original pastel white (I have rubbed a couple of sections of this down and it is all original paint, no green underneath!)

  10. Here's the section of M plate

Does the chassis number stamped in the engine bay match the M plate?

  13. It's 100% all original paint around sides and back on top (and the roof). I work in the motor trade and my painter had a look with me and was as certain as me. Very odd! Also, on the M plate for roof colour it says the colour code, surely the plastic pop top wouldn't have a paint code?
I appreciate all input by the way chaps! I haven't had her long and new to busses!

  15. I'm starting to think this is a rather unusual bus?

What are the extra holes in the front panel for and what's happened to the deformation panel?

  17. I believe it originally had that awful wheelbox on the front before I owned it. The previous owner replaced the deformation panel to the early style to fit an early bumper :)
