Been looking around for some carpets that go under the seats, all will be revealed soon Anyhow, I've had a look on the general sites but wondered if anyone had any recommendations or pictures of what they've installed/ bought for your buses?
If it's to go over the wheel tubs and seat plinths, you could use good quality lining felt with a stretch in it...colours are a bit limited though...you'd need to stick it down, so either direct onto the metal, over dynamat, or even on top of the original rubberised mats. Alternatively, use normal car carpet, but it's more involved....cut small V-notches to get the right curves and stitch them together so it holds its shape....I did this a good while ago and it looked great....I've since changed from carpet to Flotex, which has no stretch to it at all, so I'll be going down the stretch lining route, if I can find a good colour match...otherwise, stock rubber matting over Dynamat http://www.atindustries.co.uk/Colours.php?z=1&t=Lining Carpets&t2=Hi-Flex Velour&c=222&p=1 http://www.automobiletrim.com/auto-carpet.html
I went with some Mad Matz ones and was very happy with the results. Can't find a picture at the minute.
I've looked for the rubber ones but places are out of stock. Fancied carpet as thought it might be 'warmer' lol
I plan to go for madmatz mats. Have you looked on fleabay? There are some cheaper ones on fleabay if you look for VW t2 mats (or VW bay mats).
Haha! Just found some rubber ooo err ones on fleabay from JK so might just go for them. PO replaced the arches and neglected to reinstall/ keep the carpet metal piece so I'm gonna have to stick em down hence the carpet thoughts.
just floor mats buddy not stuck down. pics here (not very good pics) http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/the-bang-bus.25336/page-4
