I need some help please. a friend wants me to make her a wooden picture of a baby blue split screen van with her babies name on it to place on his grave to commemorate his birthday which is this Tuesday. I've designed the van on Bus selecta but I can't see how to get the picture off and into my editing suite to add the name and resize it. Anybody know how to do this?
Windows 7 has a built in screen capture bit better quality than print screen called snipping tool type it in windows search bar
You're gonn have to treat me gently on this one. I tried search from the start button and chose 'on the internet' but it just went back to the desk top. ??? I could really do with getting the image into photoshop somehow so I can do some editing to it to put the baby's name on so that it looks classy. Failing that does anyone know where I can source a side view of a pale blue split screen that won't go to pixellated if I enlarge it a bit?
Hit the print screen button, which basically just takes a snapshot of the screen, then you have to paste it into paint. Then crop out the Marmitee you don't want. And bobs your uncle
Carl, you are a megastar, thank you very much. I want to put a lot into this as he only lived for 18 hours and at the funeral 4 years ago I remember the terrible sight of his Mum and Dad getting out of the single funeral car and realising that the tiny wicker coffin had been on his lap for the journey to the church.
Sure it will be amazing , my mother has always said that when something is hand made with care for someone it is the 'work' which means it carries a charm, the essence and the will of the person making it and their intention 'wish' for the person/s receiving.
I think it was the most poignant moment in my whole life. I cried more at the baby's funeral than I did when I buried my Dad.
I have a wooden pale blue splitscreen van, I think it's either wood or mdf, about 18 inches long, 8-10 high, 1/4inch thick, new still in the packing. I can next day it to you before 10 on Tuesday if that's any good, not sure how you would get lettering onto it though
That's a fantastic offer Davidoft, thanks. I got sorted with the help of Carlperkins so I'm on track to get it finished by Monday night. I'll stick a picture up when it's finished. I love this forum.
Nice one bob, it happened to betties lad n daughter inlaw last year too , im shedding a tear now too poor soles , why is life so cruel sometimes , your a star too mate
I like a thread with a conclusion, it makes it nice and tidy. Here is the finished item, glue still drying on the wires to the baloons but it will be ready for tomorrow morning to hand over to Cole's Mum.
