Anyone seen these before? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-TYPE-2-BUS-1956-1973-STOCK-TYPE-SHIFTER-LOCK-/120738308932?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item1c1c906344#ht_3294wt_1396 Is there a difference between a late bay and prototype bay at the bottom end of the gearstick because this looks cool if there isnt! Heritage do something similar - http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Shift-lock-ghia-beetle-split-standard-shifter-use-only_act_shop.product_pID_127398_lang_EN_country_GB.htm
No not seen one before Assume it bolts through the floor to secure it, therefore could you hacksaw the bolts off? or undo them from below. Still think the electronic one you setup and hide seems the best. http://thelatebay.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif
this was sort of featured in camper and bus a few months back. seems like something worth adding to the armoury of devices to secure ones bus against theft
