Bumpers

  1. Hi
I am missing my rear bumper and irons, so was thinking of replacing both for the Brazilian type bumpers. Has anybody done this that can post a picture with them on so I can see if I like the look .The front looks easy to fit but what irons do you use to fit the rear ? Last of all what do you lot think of the plan retro or original look ?

  2. look in my resto thread mate, got pics of them fitted somewhere.
rears are easy, just buy brazillian irons that are like £13 each. bolt straight on.

front fit if you have a brazillian deformation panel. if not you need to put captive nuts in. which is easy enough.

  3. Thanks for the info, will look for the pictures.

  4. Have looked on page 17 of the resto page but can't find anything to help. What thread was it under ? Can you send me a link to it ? Thanks for the help.

It's not rocket science. Just click on the blue link in my message and it takes you directly to page 17 of Carl's thread and towards the bottom of that page is the detail you're looking for.

  10. Got there in the end thanks, the problems seem to be with using Tapatalk app as showed threads about gearbox, when I went through website got there no problems. Thanks for the patience with me ,I am getting better honestly.

Ahh, I know nothing of tapatalk.
I also think the early bumpers are much prettier than the Lates so it's a mod well worth doing.

  12. I fitted them using the latebay captive nuts in the deformation panel, but it was an absolute faf. if I did it again i'd just redrill panel as carl did.

Early over riders fit with a bit of fettleing too.
